Program Overview

The Vernon Paddling Centre (VPC) has expanded its’ current paddling program to provide basic paddling safety and technique coaching to our new paddlers and more advanced paddling coaching to those members who are interested in racing and/or taking their paddling to the next level.    There are three group paddling options:

  • Learn to Paddle - Focus is on safety and basic paddling technique, OC-6 and small boats.  All new members must participate in the Learn to Paddle program.  Drop-in’s are welcome.
  • Recreational Paddle – Focus is on getting out on the water and having a fun, safe and social paddling experience.   Adult members only.
  • Paddle Plus – Structured paddling program for adult members of our club with a focus on advanced outrigger canoe paddling skills, outrigger racing techniques, and endurance training.  Adult members only.
